Is it possible to Hotsync a handheld with the IR port on the 5300? I am using a HandSpring Visor Deluxe (Palm 3.1v) and a PB5300ce (MacOS 8.6).
When I try to setup the Palm Desktop software on the 'book, I am unable to select the IRport for syncing. I do have IR appletalk setup and it works well between 5300s, so well I am confused as to why MAC stopped using this technology. Is it that the AppleTalk setup is keeping the Palm software from using that port? Or is it just not really possible?
