>But my more immediate question is: How would I go about repartitioning? >Also, do apples boot off CD drives/floppy drives automatically? Can't help on Linux, but... 1. Partitioning - use Apple's Drive Setup. You have to wipe the drive entirely, but you can then set up individual Linux, HFS+, DOS, whatever, partitions as big as your HD can stand. Easy to do via 'Customize' dialogue.
2. All Macs (well, virtually all, which means yours) will boot off any storage device. You can put a boot CD in and hold down 'C' (a bootable floppy will boot automatically if in the drive) or hold down Cmd-Shift-Option-Delete to boot off a drive other than the startup volume. This could be a CD, CDRW, Zip, Jaz, ext. HD, even tape or Syquest. Another alternative is, if you have a bootable system already, simply insert the boot CD and select it as startup in the Startup Disk control panel. [with Macs, there're always at least three ways of doing things :-) Enjoy.
