I am ideally looking for something to allow me to create/edit beats, a simple drum machine program would be very nice. Anything else would be gravy, really. I use several quite handy freeware music progs for wintel machines (coagula, etc,) which would be very nice ot have on my 3400, since it's the only portable computer I have readily available. Sorry if I wasn't clearer in my original post; I am not looking for software to listen/burn CDs or anything like that.
