Call Apple and get it fixed via the REA (Repair Extension Authorization). They recognized problems with the power connector and case plastics, and the REA usually gives you a new mobo and fixes the case if necessary. I just got a cs model returned from them, they also replaced the video cable. It had a similar problem - went through startup cycle, but screen only lit up with no real display. Total time out of my hands was about three weeks, but worth it since I got the 'book for free. Incidentally, for all the other listers, my machine had apparently been through the process once before because it had the AA on the serial number tag and a date stamp inside. So if it has a different problem, it can get fixed again.
