Look closely at the HDI end. SCSI adapters have one corner pin missing, 
and are used to connect SCSI peripherals.

SCSI/Dock adapters have all the pins and is used to connect your 
powerbook *as* a peripheral in SCSI disk mode.

Some SCSI/Dock adapters also have a switch so they can serve either 
function.
