Apple says:

Question 2: What is the maximum amount of memory that can be installed
on a PowerBook G3
                         Series computer?

                         Answer: The system supports up to 192MB of RAM
using standard 64 megabit-based SO-DIMMs.

However, the info in the database is (in)famous for being out of date.
There are now 256 Mb PC100 modules. So, if I install one of this, would
it be recognized? Is there really a physical limit? Can I only have a
paltry 192 Mb? Has someone in the list did it already?

I have a Wallstreet PDQ 266 MHz with 192 Mb.
