It's a Pinnacle Micro RCD 5040 '96. Website says use FWB CD-Rom 1.51 (min.).
If anybody has this and is willing to send me a copy, TIA. But I need also the
jumper settings. Using a known-good HDI-SCSI/Dock adapter (used with Zip).

An RCD 5040 is Pinnacle's second-generation CD-ROM/CD-R device.

I would get Toast before I would get CD-ROM Toolkit.

With Toast (3.x, 4.x or Titanium) you will have the best possible support for
this drive, both as a CD-ROM and as a CD writer.

I'm sure a copy of Toast 3.5 would be easy to find.

Then, you can upgrade it to 3.5.1.

The RCD 5020 (first-generation, caddy loading) and the RCD 5040 (tray
loading) are fully supported for all versions of Toast that I mentioned above.

I've never burned a coaster with either the 5020 or 5040 with Toast. With
Pinnacle's supplied software, most burns result in coasters.
