My Duo 230s won't let me use printer/modem port, but they do print just fine using a mini-dock and plugged into the printer port on the mini-dock. I get the message to set the Modem panel to internal. The control panel "Modem" is set to the internal modem, not the printer/modem port, and still the alert comes up saying the port is unavailable. I have 2 Duo 230s and both of them do the same thing. Appletalk is inactive in the Chooser for my SW 2500. I use OS7.6.1. I cannot understand why I cannot use the printer port on the computer. Please help!
I am trying to get these 230s to be usable for email and wordprocessing for needy seniors and for underprivileged students to use as their first machines. Thanks for your help.
