Jim... Do you realize there is no 56 mb RAM for the 5300? What you have works with the on-board 8 mb to make a total of 56 mb. My son's 5300ce does fine with 56 mb and MacOS 9.1 -- actually, it's too big of an OS footprint for the 56 mb, but he has no problems running MS Office 97 for Mac with it.
