I totally understand that this iis a satire. But it is ENTIRELY in the wrong
light. There is a difference between makking a joke, and making fun of a
race, religion, or otherwise. This is infuriating to me, because while our
country strictly prohibits certain racial statements, this type of smut is...
PROMOTED? What the hell are you thinking??
If you want to follow that logic, then why don't we just go back to Pre MLK
days when we called black people horrible names, treated them as subhuman,
and made profit from their pain, and just excuse it as good clean fun? Of
course we won't do that, not because we've all gotten pimented skin, but
because we understand that is WRONG to denegrate people just because they're
different than us.
Believe me, I grew up in the heart of the redneck, racist South. I have seen
more racism than you ever care to know. And that is why I hate it. You
cannot denigrate another person for their beliefs or looks or life, and get
away with calling it fun, parody, or satire. It is absolutely WRONG. There is
no excuse. You may not like the President of the US, but dammit, he's our
President. You may not like Ashcroft, but he is doing a job, and unless he
breaks the law, he is the Att'y General. We do NOT need this crap for our
nation, while we're trying to win a war.

I say we start slamming all Canadians. For example, my worst business
transactions have almost all been with Canadians. They're tight-wad
snotty-nosed socialists who want me to ship a computer for free, then ask me
to lie about it to customs, so they can rob their taxes. To hell with the
Republicans--the Canadians are pig-faced fascists! Why don't we create a
website to show all those pigs from the north side of the border to be the
real jerk-off's that they are?

Ok, back to reality. yes this is way off topic.. But it is off topic for a
reason. And no I don't hate Canadians-I even have friends in Saskatoon,
Toronto, and other very cold places on the tundra. But my point is simple.
DO NOT promote racial crap, on a listserve that's not about racial crap. If
you want to promote this kind of $#!T, go find some OTHER newgroup to post it
on. But do not promote it here-It is not acceptable.
