"EN/SC requires Asantetalk drivers. I think I got them here somewhere.
p-mail me."

I have the installer for the Asante adapter, so I'll plug in the adapter
and run that application.

"Well I don't think your system is seeing it if ethernet isn't presented as
an option. I've used EN/SC adapters but it's been a while. Have the drivers
loaded? Has it worked in the past?

When the duo boots up, the EN/SC icon flashes across the screen while all
the extensions load. Part of the problem seems to be with Appletalk.
Ethernet is a not offered as a choice when I open the Appletalk CP. If I
update OS 8.0 to 8.1, will the update provide the drivers for Appletalk so
ethernet becomes an option?
Or do I need a more recent version of OT/PPP? I am running 1.0 on the duo
but have the installer for 1.1.1.

When the duo was running 8.5.1, I was able to use the Asante adapter and
file share with my 6100, but I had problems with the hard drive and had to
initialize it. I had experienced some problems trying to install OS over
SCSI Disk Mode, so I "kit-bashed" the operating system, patching it
together through diskette loads with my floppy adapter. Over the weekend I
was able to share the whole installer for 8.0 from my 6100 to the duo using
SCSI Disk modem and the installation worked except for problems with
ethernet and modem port issues with PPP (that problem will be addressed
after I get ethernet enabled!!!)
