I dug this up on my email if you want to try it yourself. http://members.aol.com/dnmonk/powerbooks/
I will say however that unless you are good with small, delicate procedures and have an electronics background, you might strongly consider the gentleman's offer posted previously to do this for you for $24.95...if you don't mind shipping your powerbook, that is a really good deal considering you will pay almost that much for the battery alone. I have an electronics background, and had the Apple Service manual and it still took me over two hours to replace the battery on my '540. There is some really delicate stuff in there that you can easily damage/ruin if you don't know what you are doing. Just a caution...whatever you decide, good luck with the 540, it's a great little machine. -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
