I just upgraded my PB5300 with a bigger hd and OS 8.6. I have Speed Doubler which I was running with OS 7.6 previously. My question is, how beneficial would running it with OS 8.6 be? It's my understanding that a lot of Speed doubler's effectiveness is based on it having a better 68K emulator than the System 7 series had. Since 8.6 has much more native PPC code, should I bother installing Speed Doubler? On the same note, would I be better off with OS9 on the machine instead of 8.6? (It has 40mb of ram). It is running very well at this point on OS 8.6 and I really hate to mess with it unless there is something definite to be gained.
