It works great on my 400MHz 1400 with 60 RAM.  Very responsive. The 
accel. boards were on clearance/sale at Sonnet not long ago; I paid 
well under $200 for the 400MHz board.

The system plus a tons of extensions, takes up 19-24 megs depending 
on how many apps I have running.

There are bugs with 8.6 and quicktime (especially) so I'd jump all 
the way up if you jump up at all.
