Hi, everyone, I feel dumb as a box of rocks asking this, but I need some assitance. I recently upgraded to OS 8.1 and now there is no way to choose my printer (Stylewriter II) in the Chooser. In 7.6.x, printing wasn't a problem. I didn't realize I had this problem until I tried to print a letter this week! Whoops!
I have gone online and picked up drivers for both the II and the 1500, which is supposed to work well with the II, but I don't know how to get my Chooser to recognize them, or where to stash them in my system folder in order for them to show up in the Chooser. (The files are just sitting on my desktop -- this is where I get stumped and feel silly). I appreciate any help very much, as school starts on Thursday and I'd like to be able to print from my Mac.
