Dear Aydin.

I have an emergency disk for 190. The 190s need an 'enabler' with the
older OSes, I dont rember from when it was no longer necessary,
somebody on the list knew some time ago.

I have never used it. I got the Norton programme and created a Disk
Doctor start disk that I use regularly with the 190s. This keeps
everything in order and very stable. That disk is worn and I am going
to create a new one. I coud make one for you and send along with the
Apple emergency disk. Send me your address off-list and I can mail
it/them to you when I get the time.

(BTW, re 190 issues recently. I think the the 190 (b/w passive
screen) is the best palmtop in the world, runs 3 hours on its old
battery. One summertime trick is to sit in the sun and turn the
backlight off and type clever things in the back of the garden
sipping own-made elder-flower juice with ice (only adding the gin
just before knocking off!). This one can make idle the otherwise
beloved 1400c G3)

I need to make an emergency floppy for my
Powerbook 190. Does anyone know of a
source on the Internet? I have tried various
emergency disks I have, with the proper systems,
and they do not seem to work on my 190
although they work on my other old macs
and the floppy drive works normally otherwise.
Maybe I need a system enabler.

Thanks,
Aydin Yulug
