Later PBs and PMs had RJ45 only. The primary reason for the PB500, and concurrently offered PowerMacs, having an AAUI interface is PeeCees of that same era were using AUI interfaces. With an AAUI or AUI interface, either RJ45 or BNC 'net connections are possible.
