Are you sure that they finished downloading completely before you deleted them? Sometimes interrupting the download will cause the browser (or your download manager) to automatically delete the incomplete file... Probably not what you wanted to hear, but I can think of no reason why any file would just disappear when you put the 'book to sleep.
The other possibility is that Stuffit was interrupted while decompressing the files, AND you had Stuffit set to "delete originals" in the prefs... Or the files could be corrupt... On second thought, nevermind, I don't really know what I'm talking about. ;-) (Aren't .dmg files disk images for use in OS X? Out of curiosity, what software were you downloading? Also, only the very latest version of Disk Copy - 6.3.3, 6.4? - will work w/ .dmg files in OS 8/9) Peace, Drew -- Having graduated (with a physics BS :-P), I will be using the email address <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Please update your address book. <http://homepage.mac.com/alk/> "Anyone can fly, all you have to do is throw yourself at the ground and miss." -Douglas Adams, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
