Hi James,

Networking with Mac's can be easy or frustrating.

In OS 9 locate the File Sharing Control Panel
Click the left Tab, this takes you to the identity panel.
You have 3 places to put information.
On the top, key in "My Net" with out the quotes
On the middle, key nothing, leave blank
On the bottom, key in the name of the computer. Ie, 6320

Do the same in the PowerBook.

The secret is to have that top line of information the same.
Lastly, be sure your Appletalk is on and set to the correct port. Either
traditional Printer Port, or Ethernet Port, depending on your setup.
