It was SO hard for me to find out what was going on, too. It doesn't 
seem to be documented anywhere.   All the jpgs on my ftp server would 
get corrupted when transferred across; they wouldn't view on that mac 
even; but binary transfers etc were all correct etc.  USENET is a 
wonderful resource.

Trash that extension, throw it as far as you can, and like magic, all 
those "unviewable" jpgs will be fine again.  Except those that you 
took off that mac to a PC via ftp, those are messed up for good as 
far as I could tell.
