I myself own 1 145 along with a couple 145bs a few 160s and the occasional
180 that I seem to find on my computer shelf. I LOVE 7.1 for the 145,
great options, not bad at all for ram which by the way I could sell you a
2mb stick to bump yours up to 4mb which you pretty much need anyway to run
an OS and any non-applet program at the same time. I do have 7.5.3 second
rev. on a 145b which has a noticeably slower speed than the 145 with 7.1
for finder tasks, plus you can't make your own desktop picture in 7.5 under
the control panel like you can in 7.1 and probably 7.0. These machines are
great for writing, spin down the hard drive and type away in dead silence,
not even a heat problem when I use it on my bed since the processor is only
25mhz. Most of the hds are only 40-160 megs for the 1xx series not
including the 150 or 190xx which are ide. The 1xx are great machines so
have fun with the one you have!
