You can compare specs at www.everymac.com, they've got all the specs listed there. From memory, a 170 or 180 will probably fit the bill. Most of the later series 'Books have a 68030, AFAIK only the 100 came with a 68000. Any 1xx series PowerBook is readily available for less than $50. Heck, you can get a working PowerBook 5300 for less than $100 (www.wegener-media.com).
Screen size for most 1xx series is 640x400 - larger than an SE/30's. Most stock batteries will not hold a charge for more than a few minutes - machines of this vintage are 8-10 years old, so they really shouldn't :-). New batteries are available, but expensive - $70-150. External, regulated power supplies should work fine, I've used everything from a car battery to NiMH AA cells with mixed results time-wise. _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
