The earlier version has not been available for a Long Time(tm). The 2.0 version is the only version I could find online as well. Having battery troubles of my own (Wallstreet Series II), I have my own interest in this thread. In any case, I am confused by your statement: "The 2.0 version that's currently download-able from Apple only has the application hidden." If you read the Read Me that comes with the software, you'd have read "The Battery Reset application is installed in the Utilities folder on PowerBook G3 Series, if needed in the future." However, if you use Tome Viewer to extract the application and extension, you can install them wherever the heck you like. You should note that in my experience, the installer doesn't actually install what it says. The Read Me says that the "Battery Updater" extension will be installed in the Extensions Folder, but that doesn't happen. You can install it manually w/ Tome Viewer. FWIW, this version does squat for me. I've tried it (repeatedly) and have had absolutely _ZERO(!)_ results. If you track down a previous version, give me a shout!
