Hi i think i may be able to help here.

If it is a GV powerport platinum. Go to your modem settings and choose GV
28.8 -k56 driver for the card connect the dongle to the black connector on
the card (the right one as you look when it is inserted) and dial away it
should connect at 33.6.


I have the same card in my 3400 for back up use ind use it every other day.
