I did that a few weeks ago, it's pretty easy. You do not need any other hardware. Concerning the soft part, microsoft has added an internet connection sharing utility to it's Windows OS since Windows 98SE. So if you have Win98SE or above, you are all done. I did that with system 7.5 on the powerbook, i guess that it should work with system 7.1 but i have never tried.
