That is likely the Interconnect cable. It goes between the motherboard and display. It is a .025" pitch ribbon cable a few inches long. The wires inside the cable break so repairing it is dicey. I was able to find some .025" pitch ribbon cable and replace the cable using the original connectors. If you are familiar with IDC connectors it isn't to hard to do. > >4.
