Really?  I thought it was a standard Duo floppy connector - HDI-20 or 
some such...  Well, you learn something new every day!  I just read 
that the floppy/cd port is hot-plug capable.  Is that true?  That's 
kinda cool...

Indeed, if it's not what you want, it's not what you want... ;-)  I'm 
like that - I haven't got a single non-Apple display hooked up to my 
Macs.  Hey, gotta have the best, right?!
