Hello... I recently inherited a nice pb1400 with a g3/400 processor in it. The only problem with it, other than the bookcover being loose because some of the tabs are broken (currently fixed with gaffer tape on the inside) is that the power adapter is really flaky. It has damage to the wires inside the jacket on the thin cord, right near the plug that goes into the back of the powerbook.
A friend of mine just loaned me a Duo AC adapter that has the same plug, with 36 watts available instead of 45w from the 1400's adapter. It plugs in and charges the battery, but I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if they know of any issues using such a setup. Thank you!
