Easiest is to search for completed items on ebay. Strangely, I think the value of 1400's if you take them apart and sell the pieces separately exceeds the value you might get for one sold as a unit by quite a bit. Or at least separate any RAM expansions, video cards, the display, A/C adapter, battery, and floppy or CD-Rom drive modules. Plus you can mark up the shipping a little and make money on that, too- many people seem to mark up the shipping to compensate for the % that paypal/Ebay take off the top- it seems that Ebay doesn't take a % of the calculated shipping for the auction (at this time).
