Well, this story was on The Register, As the Apple Turns, and MacCentral, as well as various other tech-oriented news sites.
Personally, I find it rather suspect that he wouldn't notice a .75" (2cm) diameter blister forming down there... I've been around some hot laptops - my overclocked 5300 is pretty warm, but my Wallstreet is often downright HOT. Still, not hot enough to burn me, and certainly not hot enough to burn me through my pants... That Dell must have been one hot sucker. Either this is one sorry guy looking for attention with a remarkable hoax, or this is a true story and one of the best reasons I have ever heard for not buying a Dell! Dude, you're getting 2nd degree burns on your privates! Puts a whole new spin on getting burned by a bad computer deal... ;-) Peace, Drew -- <http://homepage.mac.com/alk/> "There are of course many problems connected with life, of which some of the most popular are `Why are people born?' `Why do they die?' `Why do they spend so much of the intervening time wearing digital watches?'" -- Douglas Adams' "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy." -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
