It's a PCMCIA drive, it should work. The only limitations are the physical space in the slots. PCMCIA is a standard. > Also, after reading about the 3400 this ad has me worried. > http://www.softwareandstuff.com/h_nb_macpb3400.html > I'm sure if something is wrong in the add and I am dissatisfied they will > refund my money. > They have in the past. > The ad claims this 3400c has an 8X Cd drive, a 1.2GB HD, and supports > millions of colors on external displays. > I know the 3400 can produce millions of colors on a TV? Possible...depending on the speed they originally shipped with 6x drives, but I'm sure at some point in their product cycle they were bumped up. My 7600/120 (specced at a 4X CD drive in the AppleSpec database) came with an Apple-labelled 8X drive with a date stamp of about the same timeframe, so it's likely original equipment.) > I'm wondering if the 1.2GB listed is actually a 1.3GB and they are just > listing how much space is on the drive with the OS installed. It could be a 1.2 gb drive...doesn't really matter, so long as it's an IDE drive it will work. > HARD DRIVE > Any recomendations on Hard drives? > I'm happy with 1 gig or so I just like speed :) > I heard the original drives were slow As a general rule larger drives are newer, hence faster.
