Believe the software that came with your upgrade. It is a common problem for Apple Profiler to have odd readouts with non-standard CPUs. My 1400s , #1-G3/217 @ 217 and # 2-G3/333 @ 333 according to Sonnet, Powerlogix and Newertech software ( I've tested with all 3 apps. All were within a 1 MHz spread of the 217/333 respectively.) vs 125/190 respectively, according to Profiler. ) This happens with the Desktop Macs as well as the PBs. My PPC Desktop Macs all show much slower than their actual G3 upgrade speeds, but the speed difference is huge compared to what profiler says it should be. I've clocked as high as 16 times faster operation for the same work with a G3/400 vs the 604e/200, in the same motherboard. It looks like Profiler gets confused if it doesn't find particular Apple factory type readings.
