You can refurb the Lind externals cheaply;  they use a standard
rechargeable battery with some circuitry on front to give you the charging
cycle and the lights etc.  If you pull one apart likely a Batteries Plus or
similar store could get you replacements of equal or likely better capacity.

Somewhere I may have the info saved; any interest?  It is buried deeply though.
