Try grinding/filing an old small screwdriver to the general shape as in
the top illustration.  File the sides so they are sharp in the direction
you have to turn the screw--counterclockwise--as in:

viewed from the screw's point of view.

Jam it into the hole in the screw, and turn gently while pushing down on
the new tool.  It may work--I've done it with Allen-head screws, but
never with a Torx.  A lot depends on how hard the screw head is.  If the
screwdriver isn't hard enough, heat the tip red-hot and quench it in
water.

Using the next larger Torx bit jammed into the hole may work.
