IN-Focus made (for Apple) and bundled up a breakout-splitter box with a plentiful amount of cables and Performa-friendly multimedia software, which Apple called their TV Presentation Syytem. Meant to enhance the Performa 6x00 lineup, it actually works well with any Mac w/ DB 15 monitor hook-up. One DB-15 cable goes from computer to the In-Focus box (powered by the included adapter), and the other side of the box splits the signal, going back to the monitor (DB-15) and to a TV set (either composite or S-VHS). The end result is simultaneous TV-monitor out, just like any of the AV Macs (8500, etc.). Very nice, needs no drivers, works out of the box. NOTE: the only supported resolution is 640x480.
