They did that.  Did you read their post?  They wiped the HD, zeroed 
it out even.  Then installed OS 9, 9.1, and 9.2 - clean install 
(unless you have a 9.2.x CD, there is NO clean install option for 
9.2.x - 9.2.x is update only).

Also, you might try NOT including the entire previous message in your 
replies.  Seeing the footer in each of your messages (especially when 
you reply with only 3 lines of text) is getting annoying.  I'm 
surprised you haven't gotten a warning message from Dan yet.  But 
I'll be it's on the way...

As for the G3 Pismo, this is definitely WAY OT.  3 generations removed.

Take this discussion to G-Books.  You'll get better answers there - 
besides, 9.2 isn't spec'd to run on any of our PowerBooks on this 
list anyway, so you can't reasonably expect us to have good answers 
to your questions.

(Did you try resetting the PRAM and power manager?)
