That's what I suspected, but wasn't sure. Some kind gentleman sent me the Apple link 
to 3400 manuals ( I don't have one).
I don't have enough money to buy the powerbook I want (the 17 inches G4) so I'll 
usb/firewire to my 3400. I will also bump up the ram to 144 while I salivate over the 
G4!
