You know, it strikes me that you started 3 threads in 24 hours, all with the same subject.
Maybe you should have just come out and said "I have a 3400c and an iBook that I want to connect together. How do I do it?" You probably would have gotten a good answer in 15 minutes. Yes, 3400s have ethernet (optional on the 180MHz version, though I've never seen one without it). Get a crossover cable, plug one end into the 3400c, one end into the iBook.
