Actually, there is. The HD in a PB100 can be up to 17mm thick, and since
SCSI-IDE converters are 5mm thick and modern notebook drives are 9.5mm
thick, such a combo should work just fine.

Largest SCSI notebook drive IBM ever made was 1.2 GB (TravelStar XP model
DPRS-21215). Dunno 'bout other manufacturers. I think Toshiba made even
larger ones.
