Funny this, I just purchased a PPC upgrade for my 540c last week which had
the same problem, the seller was good enough to give me a 520 processor
module with it as a 'donor' card and I swapped connectors over, this is not
a job for the faint-hearted as it involves some tricky surface-mount work,
but it can be done.
The suggestion to glue the card in will not work as the pin is not there to
make contact in the first place, however a simpler work-around may be to run
a short link wire from the socket to the memory card to bypass the pin.
Ben.
NB if you need a module to get the connector from try:
Malcolm Cornelius - The Powerbook Fanatic

or if you can remove the connector undamaged, I can send you a couple of
pins from my old connector so you can repair it.
