I'm not affiliated with them in any way but by being a very occasional
customer but I saw at Macresq a refurbished replacement screen for a
540 for about twenty bucks.

their overseas shipping policy but you could give 'em a look.
I am still waiting to see what Mad Dog discovers with his backlight
surgery.
