Well, that, I imagined, would be the "final answer" -- that I'd need to
acutally purchase OS 8.5. Having hung out at 7.x.x for so long on that machine
I was not up on what "everyone else had to do" in order to upgrade their OS
past 8.0/8.1 (which we did buy/upgrade to). I've never been part of the "in"
crowd, anyway.
I appreciate all the help even though the correct answer is more
frustrating... I will have to wait to purchase 8.5 because I'm such a broke
college student. Thanks for the purchasing links that were sent OL, however; I
appreciated that very much and will look into them. ("Mom? Dad? Can I have
some money for a new OS?") ;-)
