8.6 doesn't play nice with Sonnet upgrades.  Run 48ram/sonnet upg with 8.1,
or 64/sonnet with 9.1.  In 9.1 you also need a new start-up disk control
panel called 9.2, but not the s-u cp that comes with os 9.2.  Confusing, but
true...the new panel is available on the apple archives.

has no affect on the wireless options, and finding the cards is not hard at
all.  $30 - $40 on ebay these days.  Any number of rebranded lucent cards
(Orinoco, WaveLAN, etc etc) work great.  802.11b silver
