I'm using the Orinoco Gold with no problems and no changes to the PowerBook 3400. The card doesn't ship with any Macintosh drivers and they were next to impossible to locate on their website but other than that I'm very happy with it! Someone with their tech support finally sent me the URL and Bruce Johnson also had the drivers. I'm running it under OS 9.1.
