The 3400's User Manual (page 109) says that if the external video port accesses a video device with a resolution different than 800x600, the LCD screen will blank out, but the external device will be operated at the external device's resolution. If that will be the case with the Presentation System, you will have to find out. The hardware might be able to receive a signal at 800x600 and then convert it to 640x480 for the TV. If so, you may be able to use both screens together.
I use one of my Presentation Systems with a 1400 for classroom presentations. I have a video card to run the presentation hardware and the on board video to use with the LCD screen. The presentation hardware only supports 640x480 , which looks OK on a 23' TV, but not as sharp as it would on a monitor. I can either mirror ( Shrinks the LCD screen somewhat and shows the same view , except trims the edges on the TV picture.) or as a second monitor. (Leaves the LCD screen at its 800x600 resolution and the TV at 640x480 for extra usable video area.) David Allen "R. P.
