Hi List, I've just about pulled out the remaining hair on my scalp... And I may start yanking my scalp off my head soon! To spare you the gory details, and to make a long story short:
I've tried my very best to find a script for this modem to work with my pb 1400; its a SupraExpress SP 56e external modem; I had it working with my pb some time ago, but I can't find the script anywhere on my desktop hard drive nor my pb hard drive; and my search for a driver/script for it on the web has been "extremely frustrating." I've been to "drivers.com" and modem-drivers.com, and I get a huge runaround, I even find the file, but when I try to download, it sends me back to the home page. I have registered, and all of the other hoops you are required to jump through. I've tried the supra/ diamond multimedia site; they no longer even list legacy software for people like me to download. I am truly "pissed." I'm hoping some nice pb'er has this modem script in their modem script file and can email it to me. If you have this modem, or ever had it, you may be my hero (or heroine.)
