Ok, heres the scoop on my SCSI issue. I have alot of scsi parts, being that i
run scsi servers alot. So what i did was took 2 4gig harddrives i had laying
a round, a 6x scsi CD drive from a compaq server, and a scsi adapter thingy
that goes from the internal cable, to the external one with the squeeze spring
connector. Heh i cant thing of the cable's name atm.. But anywho, i put the
items in a case, and put in a AT powersupply for power. I turned on the mac,
and there were my 2 harddrives unformatted in Drive setup, and also my CD
drive. I formatted the hard drives in Mac Extended, and then popped up my hard
drives on the desktop. I started moving stuff there. In the control strip on
the CD icon, i clicked on it, and it says my CD is SCSI id 3. I stick in my
cd's and the system hangs. i have to reboot with out a cd in the drive to get
into Mac OS 8.6 again. So i dont know what is going on. I tried the driver
hack, ive downloaded a patched driver, and nothing.. ive called a few people
that do the support for macs at school, and they dont know what to tell me..
that or they dont care LOL... so yea, if this info helps anyone to help me,
great !! But thanks again!! bye -Josh
