Thanks for the help! Never knew I'd get so many replies. Looks like IOXperts' drivers are out, dang it, and I might want to dig up the Orinoco ones. Thanks also for the warning on RAM. Didn't realize I'd have to worry about buying in sets.
I might have to look into the whole "refurbish your own battery" bit. Anybody do that themselves?
Looks like TecnoWarehouse ran out of the $150 upgrades, but has a 250 MHz G3 for $180. Tempting, though this quote might haunt me...
Maybe you paid a bit too much, is easy to get carried away bidding. I got a PB 1400cs with 64Mb and a 233MHz G3 upgrade for $120 + 12 shipping. I'll put the upgrade in a 1400c that was $69 + 15 shipping. Then I'll sell the cs for at least what I paid...
Patience does pay off on eBay.
That is a great deal. The last few times I tried to find one, similar machines got snapped out from under me for more. I'd finally had enough and figured $100 shipped wasn't too horrible. $132 for 1400 + upgrade is great. Wish I'd camped eBay a little more, but at some point I guess I gave up.
Thanks again for all the help. I might have to bug the list again once the box comes in.
