Yep, greyscale tops are thinner than the color tops. The screen size (smaller) and plastic surround are different too. However, the width and height are the same dimensions. It's not a boring question if you've got a cracked color lid/top and a good greyscale lid/top, because they won't interchange and fit properly. -- Jim
