I can't even get 10.2 on it as it is now. I had 10.2.6 on it earlier.

Here's a suggestion: Take your questions to the G-Books list.
Folks, the PowerBooks list is for talking about non-G3/4 PowerBooks. The iBook and all G3s (Wallstreet, Lombard, Pismo, etc) are off-topic for this list. OS X is generally off topic as well. No pre-G3 PowerBooks officially support OS X, and only two will run it with some serious modification. (Isn't there an Unsupported OS X list, too?)
Sorry for ruining the party, but when the ratio of off-topic to on-topic posts exceeds 1:1, I start to get cranky.
Besides, you're much more likely to get better quality responses from folks who use and talk about these types of issues daily - the G-Books list - as opposed to people who deal with issues on 68k and earlier PPC PowerBooks. Don't you want to get a good answer to your questions?
Peace, Drew
